What are bookmatch tables?
I'm glad you asked. A bookmatch table is created from the same piece of wood that has been cut in half and is attached together like a book. The planks are a mirror image of each other.
These tables are one of a kind and there will never be a table exactly like it since no two trees are ever the same.
Our bookmatch tables are a premium product because they are one of a kind. They are also thicker than our normal tables about 2” (plus quite a bit heavier). The knots are also not cut out like a commercial table manufacturer. We fill them in with epoxy so you can see the true beauty of each table.
We are also very specific about the trees that we cut this table from to make sure it is a beautiful piece of wood and will create a nice mirror image. There is nothing quite like these tables
Using this method as well as our multiplank method makes our tables more resistant to warping. A single slab table has a much higher chance of warping over time.
The bookmatch method also allows much bigger tables to be created since there is no relaying on the thickness of the board. Most slabs that are over 40” have to be bookmatched to get that width.
