More specifically, we're Ted, Darlene and Josh. I'm Josh, I'm writing this. I'm the son in the mother / father / son system. I'd like to welcome you to Loewen Design Studios. Now I could tell you all the good, corny stuff. We're passionate about people coming together around tables, we've been wood working for generations. Now, that is true. We care about community and we're good carpenters. But that's not what makes us special. We love puzzles. We love figuring out what the very best option is, even if it's not obvious. Maybe especially when it's not obvious. Designing a piece of furniture just for you and your special specific needs is our sweet spot. Oh, that and we make great furniture from solid hardwood.

We expertly craft every piece of furniture one at a time with a specific customer in mind. Our business model is to work with you to figure out what will work best for you and then build it. We source the wood for our tables locally in the northeastern US and Canada and build and finish the tables in our climate controlled facilities in Ontario, Canada

Simple Collaborative Design
Our design process is based on listening to you to understand what you’re looking for and what you need. We can offer advice, drawings and samples. Whether we work together through email or design calls, we will ensure that the custom table we build for you is the one that fits you best. As an added bonus, we get to know our customers as we collaborate with you on your project.
Crafted From Premium Materials
Each of our tables is built with solid hardwoods sourced from Northeastern US and Canada. Leveraging our team’s decades of experience, we build your table to your needs and finish it with industry leading products, primarily Rubio Monocoat. We love this finish because it is 100% natural, free of VOC’s, and cures to a matte finish that highlights the beauty of the natural wood.
